Building Confidence. Unlocking Potential. Transforming Lives.
About Me
Hello and welcome! My name is Ashley Jerro, and I am passionate about helping children and adults unlock their full potential through language therapy.
I graduated from Virginia Tech in 1994 with a B.A. in English, and since 2018 I have devoted my career to supporting individuals with dyslexia, ADHD, and executive function challenges. My approach combines evidence-based literacy strategies with mindfulness techniques, always tailored to the unique needs of each learner.
At home in Virginia, I share my life with my husband, our six wonderful children, and our four beloved dogs. My family and my love of animals inspire much of my work. I believe deeply in compassion, respect, and creating safe, supportive environments for all living beings.

My Mission
I believe that every child and adult deserves the chance to become a confident reader and writer, no matter how their brain works. Learning differences are not a sign of being "less than"-in fact, dyslexia and other learning styles often come with incredible strengths. With the right tools and support, the brain is capable of amazing growth-something called neuroplasticity. I love helping others discover that spark of progress because it builds confidence that carries far beyond the classroom. My mission is simple:
-
To make literacy and learning accessible.
-
To celebrate the strengths that come with different learning styles.
-
To provide strategies that help kids (and parents) feel encouraged and empowered.
-
To always work from a place of kindness, compassion, and respect-for people and for animals.
Every child and adult can learn. Every child and adult deserves to feel smart, capable, and proud of their progress. That is why I do what I do.
